You want to navigate life stressors with balance and ease.
You see areas in your life that need attention and care,
and you yearn to learn how to support yourself in a holistic way.
You seek a life that utilizes your strengths and creativity while bringing you
into deeper connection with yourself, others, and the world around you.
You are ready to “dance” your way through life, fully embodied, fully alive.
Through personal and professional experience, I have come to counselling with a curious mind, a compassionate heart, and a caring soul. My journey to counselling sprouted from a deep love for dance and a passion for holistic health. As a young girl navigating various physical and mental health concerns, I relied on dance as a means of coping which provided me with a safe place to express my emotions, engage in creation, and connect with others.
With a desire to learn about injury prevention and health promotion for dancers, I completed a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance at Simon Fraser University (2010-2018). After my undergrad, I worked in active rehabilitation where I witnessed the power of mind-body connection and how the quality of our mental health impacts how we move. Many of my clients were navigating trauma and loss after injury, and I found myself intuitively supporting their mental health so that they could actively engage in recovery. This experience inspired me to expand my knowledge of mental wellness and complete a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University (2022-2024).
Since graduating, I have continued to expand my skills in embodiment practices and therapeutic modalities that bring the body back into conscious awareness and help heal patterns of relating to self and other. Today, dance guides my exploration of psychotherapy and informs my therapeutic work with somatic interventions.

Creating space for feeling and processing emotions, I work with individuals to practice new ways of witnessing and responding to the self, doing so in the present moment with curiosity and compassion.

Honoring the wisdom of the body, I help individuals to attune to the body by noticing their emotions, sensations, and bodily needs, and attending to the body with intentional self-care.

Shining light on the intersection of spirit and creativity, I support individuals to connect to their intuition and use creativity to bolster authentic engagement with the world.

Fostering a relationship of trust, honesty, and collaboration, I prioritize human connection and the formation of a secure base that supports exploration of new ways of moving through life.

Counselling sessions are rooted in neuroscientific, emotion-focused, attachment-based, and trauma-informed care that respects neurodiversity, cultural background, and personal orientation. I am drawn to therapeutic modalities that encourage us to connect deeply with ourselves, building understanding of bodily needs and personal values. My practice is centered in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
All of my work emphasizes the importance of building a secure base in the therapeutic relationship so that individuals can feel safe to explore new ways of engaging with the world. I encourage questions and collaboration in session, helping you to be an active member in the therapeutic process. I value growth and learning for both client and therapist, so I actively seek supervision, peer consultation, and personal counselling to support my needs. To support connection with self and other, I model authenticity and genuineness through showing my true essence in session: a playful, heart-felt therapist who values curiosity, compassion, and care.
I am currently completing the application process to obtain my Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation from the BCACC. Counselling sessions are offered at a reduced rate to reflect this transition period. Please note that counselling services are not eligible for group benefits insurance coverage at this time.

As we journey through life, it is important that we take time to witness our presence in space, honoring the people who have been stewards of the land before us. I acknowledge that I am learning and growing on the unceded and unsurrendered land of the Halkomelem speaking peoples.
